Anyone researching SELLARS or SELLERS in Toccoa, Stephens County, Georgia, or Homer, Banks County, Georgia? I need the parents of CALVIN JOE SELLARS who married GRAZ CANTRELL. I am not researching the Cantrell line. I am hoping to tie this SELLARS family into my SELLERS family line. Thanks, Carole Sellers Walker
I am writing in reference to a posting made on May 11th (see below). In my family information, I have a BEULAH ARFLIN, born Sept 15, 1900 (GA?), died Feb 28, 1978 in Anderson Co., SC who married JOHN BUREN SELLERS, who was born March 30, 1894 in BANKS CO, GA and died March 1, 1952 in Anderson Co., SC. Also, a POLK ARFLIN, born July 9, 1898 (GA?), died Dec 28, 1983 in Anderson Co., SC who married JANE SELLERS, born 14 June 1898 in BANKS CO., GA, died Feb 21, 1983 in Anderson Co., SC. JOHN BUREN SELLERS and JANE SELLERS were the children of WILLIAM ELIAS SELLERS and SUSAN WARD. Neither are my direct lines and I have no further information on POLK ARFLIN and BEULAH ARFLIN, except burial locations. I do not know if POLK and BEULAH are siblings, though I'd suspect they are. Can anyone add to this? Betty Cooper msgcooper@aol.com << X-Message: #1 Date: Thu, 11 May 2000 From: TNriogal@aol.com To: GABANKS-L@rootsweb.com Subject: William ARFLIN Banks Co GA Hello all I am interested in the surname ARFLIN. My ancestor William FLINN of Blount Co., TN b. 22 June 1810 left TN before 1880 and moved to Banks Co., GA. He brought with him his youngest son, Samuel P. FLINN and a woman, Elizabeth. William changed his and his son's surname to ARFLIN. The woman, Elizabeth, is shown with William in the 1880 Banks County GA census. William is 70 yrs. old and Elizabeth 45. The book "Blount Co., TN History and it's People" states that William ARFLIN held a degree to practice medicine and also was a Baptist Preacher. He continued to practice medicine in Banks County and is listed in the Registers of Medical Practicers 1881 In 1871 he is listed as Coroner of Banks Co., GA. I am looking for any children that may have been born of the union of William and Elizabeth, or any other info on the family surname. I have been told there are ARFLIN's in GA, SC and FLA. >>

SARAH "SALLIE" SHARP married WILLIAM C. JACKSON (W.C.J. GARRISON) and they lived in Maysville, Georgia. I am searching for a copy of the obituary for SARAH "SALLIE" SHARP GARRISON that appeared in the Maysville Enterprise and also in the Banks County newspaper in 1921. SALLIE died July 4, 1921, and I believe the obituatuary appeared in the Banks County paper on July 21, 1921, and was copied from the Maysville Enterprise. I have checked with the Clerk's Office in Banks County and with the Library in Homer, as well as the Library in Commerce. They do not have microfilm for 1921. I need a copy of the obituary that would have the name of the newspaper and the date along with the obituary to use as proof of descendancy. Will be glad to share any information that I have for this family. Thanking you in advance, Gwen Grant Bryan
I have just joined your list and am searching for parents of JANE WILLIAMS, born 22 September 1765, married to JEDEDIAH GARRISON. Will appreciate any help that you can give me, and will be glad to exchange information. Thanking you in advance, Gwen Grant Bryan
