Does anyone know where he is buried and if his grave is marked? Thanking you in advance for any information you might have regarding this family. Gwen Grant Bryan
Hello Fellow Researchers and Cousins: We have great great grandparents by the name of Rev. Lemuel Bratcher and Nancy Reynolds Norton buried at the Old Corinth Cemetery. The descendants of Lemuel & Nancy Norton would like to contact the present owners of that cemetery. We understand that it is now owned by a Hunting Club in Banks County, Georgia. For some of you who do not know where the Old Corinth Cemetery is, it is on the left of Lamar Christian Church Cemetery, up an old dirt road. Can someone please help us locate the owners of this property? Please e-mail myself - Carole Sellers Walker, mott@cetlink.net, or Michael "Mike" I. Sellers, msellers@darientel.net Thanks a lot, Carole

Searching for information on Robert and Elizabeth Wickham, a couple found enumerated in the 1860 Banks County Census-- Nail's Creek District. Household 582 Robert Wickham 72 born VA Elizabeth Wickham 61 born SC I also find them on the 1850 Census in Franklin County living with their son George and his family. I would most especially like to know where they are buried and if they were the parents of the Mary Elizabeth "Mariah" Wickham (1822 to ca. 1857) that married Thomas Nelson Garrison. Thomas Nelson is buried with his second wife Elizabeth in the Belton Presbyterian Church Cemetery near Lula and many of Thomas and Mariah's children are buried at Mount Pleasant Methodist Church Cemetery near Homer. ----- Original Message ----- From: Kroll To: Pruitt-L@rootsweb.com Sent: Friday, June 30, 2000 7:56 PM Subject: Samuel Pruitt, Jr./Limestone Settlement I am seeking information on Samuel Pruitt, Jr., born 1761 in Pittsylvania County, VA. He is listed as living in the "Cherokee Intruders" Limestone Settlement in 1809. The 1830 census lists him as living in Cherokee, GA. He married Kezia Stokes (Connelly), widow of Charles Connelly of NC. Children were: Hezekiah, Lucy, Samuel III, Elizabeth, Joseph, Polly, and John Willis. Samuel died in 1845 in Franklin County, GA. The land on which he lived later became part of Banks County, GA when Banks County was formed. Does anyone know where the Limestone Settlement was located? Those people living in the settlement were required to have official permission from and be registered with the U.S. government's Cherokee agent. Deb Kroll
