Allen A. Acree, b. ca. 1856, son of William & Mary Catherine Martin Acree, married Sarah Evelyn Banks abt. 1879. They had the following children: William Arthur Acree, b. May 7, 1880, married May 10, 1905 to Julia Maude Andrews. Russell ARCH Acree, b. July 29, 1882. Noah Martin Acree, b. October 2, 1884. Walter Oscar Acree, b. July 27, 1890. Thomas Fry Acree, b. December 8, 1892. Allen A. Acree, Jr., b. March 21, 1895. Sarah Latrelle Acree, b. September 1, 1899. My question is: Did Allen and Sarah Evelyn Banks Acree have another child named India or Indy E. "Lizzie" Acree, b. abt. 1901? A LIZZIE ACREE married John Richard Ausburn on December 1, 1919 in Banks County, Georgia and they had a son named ALLEN W. AUSBURN, b. December, 1919. Willie L. Tabor Commerce Willie L. Tabor, 85, of Georgia Highway 63 died Monday, Jan. 15, 2001. A native of Banks County, Mr. Tabor was the widower of Mary Tabor. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Shirley Varnum. He was a U.S. Army veteran and was a deacon of King Branch Baptist Church, Carnesville. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at King Branch Baptist Church with the Rev. James Ramey officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Charles Ausborn Toccoa Charles Robert Ausborn, 58, of 6998 Carnes Creek, died Friday, January 12, 2001. A native of Banks County, Mr. Ausborn was a son of the late James Robert and Dolly Payton Ausborn. He was a longtime resident of Stephens County and was a former employee of Patterson Pump. He was a member of Carnes Creek Baptist Church and the Young Adult Men's Sunday School Class. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Whitlock Mortuary with the Rev. Don Scott and Dr. Tim Miller officiating. Burial will be in Carnes Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. MR. MOTE Habersham County native DEMOREST - Hoyt Rufus Mote, 64, died Friday, December 29, 2000, at Habersham County Medical Center. Mr. Mote was born August 24, 1936, in Habersham County, a son of the late Rev. Charlie and Frances Tench Mote. He worked at Orbit Manufacturing and was of the Baptist faith. A memorial service was held Sunday, December 31, in the chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home, Cornelia, with the Rev. Melvin Stephens officiating. Mr. Mote's body was donated to science. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Joan McEntire Mote, Demorest; two daughters, Marcia Elaine Ramey, Cleveland, and Mary Ann Lawrence, Homer; one son, Michael Mote, Demorest; one sister, Barbara Ann Echols, Demorest; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. MRS. LOUDERMILK Music teacher CORNELIA - Mrs. Willie C. Loudermilk, 100, died Wednesday, December 27, 2000, at Habersham County Medical Center following an extended illness. Mrs. Loudermilk was born January 15, 1900, a son of the late Thomas and Emma Collins. She was a homemaker and a music teacher and was a member of Cornelia United Methodist Church. Mrs. Loudermilk was preceded in death by her husband, William Henry Loudermilk, and a son, Hollis P. Loudermilk. Funeral services were held Friday, December 29, in the chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home, Cornelia, with the Rev. Luther Williams officiating. Burial was in the Loudermilk Family Cemetery. Survivors include one daughter, Evelyn Sexton, Cornelia; four grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. MR. CASH U.S. Army veteran CARNESVILLE - Nelson Cash, 81, died Wednesday, December 27, 2000, at Lanier Park Hospital, Gainesville, following a short illness. Mr. Cash was born June 20, 1919, in Banks County, a son of the late Elijah and Nelar Purcell Cash. He served on the Democratic Committee for 16 years, and was the Justice of Peace for 16 years. Mr. Cash was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during World War II. At the age of 17, he began work as a poultry farmer, retiring after 64 years. Mr. Cash was a member of Damascus Baptist Church and a member of the Georgia Poultry Federation. He was the last member of his immediate family. Funeral services were held Friday, December 29, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, with the Rev. Roy Rogers, Warren Wilkinson and the Rev. Loyd Martin officiating. Burial was in the Damascus Baptist Church cemetery. Mr. Cash is survived by his wife, Emily Stowe Cash, Carnesville; three daughters, Ann Cash Rooks, Flovilla, June Cash Collins, Cleveland, and Bonnie Cash Meeler, Maysville; one son, Nelson Loyd Cash Jr., Commerce; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Nelson Simmons, Westminster, South Carolina Nelson Severe Simmons, age 71, of 270 Weldon Road, died Saturday, Nov. 25, 2000, at his residence. Born in Homer, Ga., on April 29, 1929, Mr. Simmons was a self-employed landscaper and contractor. He was a U. S. Army veteran having served in the Korean Conflict, a member of the Toxaway Baptist Church, and attended Westminster First Baptist Church. Survivors: wife, Frances Butts Simmons of the residence; a daughter, Vicki S. Davis of Westminster; grandson, Austin Tripp of Westminster; brothers, Floyd Simmons of Toccoa, Ga., Burch Simmons of Cornelia, Ga., Bud Simmons of Alto, Ga., and Ruppert Simmons of Kings Mountain, N.C.; sisters, Gertrude Chitwood of Alton, Va., Lillie Mae Maxwell of Cleveland, Ga., Winnie "Pat" York of Appola Beach, Fla., Ruth Caufman of Stockbridge, Ga., Betty Haro of Mountain View, Calif., and Gearldine Marcus of Demorest, Ga.
