    3. In my search for the Abbot and Howington families of Banks Co., GA, my search has led me to the 1860 Banks Co., GA census. I tried to review the 1860 census microfilm on a local library microfilm reader and was assigned the microfilm reader from hell, I'm sorry to say. The film was very feint but the following was gleaned from the film. The two families are the William F. Abbott family and the Jemimah Freeman Howington family. The ages of both women were almost illegible to me, along with names of the children. Does anyone out there have access to a good copy of this census and can decipher these two families. This is the only census we've been able to find the two ladies on. I would appreciate any help at all on this. 1860 Banks Co., GA Census - microfilm 9th Militia Dist. Erastus P. O. pg. 304 William F. 1. Correction 2 / Mt. Hermon Presbyterian Church
    2. Anita Hinson
    3. Because of county line changes, it is a bit difficult trying to word exactly what I am looking for and in what definite location. Here goes for one more time: I am seeking the records of the older Hebron Presbyterian Church in Franklin Co.GA. The old Hebron church existed from 1706 to 1802 when the new Hebron Presbyterian Church was started on the other side of the James McCarter plantation. These churches were a part of the Hopewell Presbytery of Wilkes Co. GA Hebron Church sponsored several churches in the surrounding area including Mt. Hermon Presbyterian Church in Ila, Ga. Could someone tell me if the records for the old Hebron church can be found? Where would these records have gone, if a new church was built? Anita

    3. A correction should be made to my previous posting: John "Jack" Freeman gave the land for the old church and I am seeking the burial site for John and his family. His son, David P. Freeman, was on the building committee for the new church. This should read: D. R. Freeman, of the building committee of the new church, is a possible grandson of John "Jack" Freeman. Sorry, Anita

    3. I am seeking the records of the older Hebron church that was before the Mt. Hermon Church that was built in 1912 in Ila, GA. John "Jack" Freeman gave the land for the old church and I am seeking the burial site for John and his family. His son, David P. Freeman, was on the building committee for the new church. Apparently, these two Hebron churches were built on the old McCarter plantation. Could someone tell me if the records for the old Hebron church can be found? Where would these records have gone, if a new church was built? Anita
