Hi, First post to this list! Looking for a mystery man and got a clue about Cowans in Baldwin Co.... Does anyone have census records or marriages or deeds??? I need a look-up! I'm looking for Elijah Cowan b. 1800 in NC. He married ca 1832 in GA. His daughter, Nancy Catherine(Kitty) Cowan was born 3/28/1835 in GA, but she moved on to West Monroe, LA by 1854. Kitty married James Sadler Rutledge who was born 4/4/1828 in Milledgeville, Baldwin Co. I'm hoping maybe the Cowans met him in Baldwin Co?? Really short on clues for this family! Can anyone help me with records on the Cowans or Rutledges? Thanks, Cyndi
