Hi, First post to this list! Looking for a mystery man and got a clue about Cowans in Newton Co.... Does anyone have census records or marriages or deeds??? I need a look-up! I'm looking for Elijah Cowan b. 1800 in NC. He married ca 1832 in GA. His daughter, Nancy Catherine(Kitty) Cowan was born 3/28/1835 in GA, but she moved on to West Monroe, LA by 1854. Kitty married James Sadler Rutledge who was born 4/4/1828 in Milledgeville, Baldwin Co. Can anyone help me with records on the Cowans or Rutledges? Thanks, Cyndi
