They lived in Baldwin County Georgia either in Milledgeville or possibly Barnesville in the late 1700's or early 1800's. They had a son James Welborn Ellis , born 12-1-1812, J. W. Ellis married Nancy Willis of Oglethorpe,Ga. and settled in Geneva, Ga. and then around 1857 relocated to the Brantley Al. area. Any information on this line of Ellis's would be appreciated. Thanks!
