December 2, 1882 in Milledgeville, Baldwin Co., GA, d. February 21, 1965 in Macon, Bibb Co., GA. The following obit was found in the McMillan family Bible. DONALD M. MacMILLAN Funeral services for Donald M. MacMillan, 72 of 2742 Forest Ridge Drive, who died Sunday in a Griffin hospital, were held in the chapel of Hart’s Mortuary at 2:30 P.M. today. The Rev. Douglas Winn officiated and burial was in Riverside Cemetery. Pallbearers were Baldwin Martin Jr., Fred M. Hill, R.J. Alligood, Robert Weldon, H.C. Douthit Jr., and R. G. Strickland. Mr. MacMillan was born in Baldwin County, the son of James Wilson MacMillan and Mrs. Hattie Cornett MacMillan. He had lived in Macon for 30 years, coming from Griffin. He was president of the Donald MacMillan and Son, MacMillan Foundry and MacMillan Mold Company. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church and the Elks Club. Surviving are the widow, the former Miss Ann Tallo, Macon; one daughter, Mrs. Roger Hunter of Macon; four sons, Donald MacMillan Jr., W.G. MacMillan and Kenneth T. MacMillan, all of Macon, and Rogber M. MacMillan of Acworth; four sisters Mrs. Bertha Elliott of Atlanta, Mrs. Hattie Marchman of Columbus, Mrs. Carrie Tisdale and Mrs. Dessie Johnson, both of Milledgeville; and a brother, Kenneth MacMillan, Milledgeville and 14 grandchildren.
