I'm sorry to say my DC researching turned up little on my illusive Milledgeville Millers. There are few books devoted to Baldwin County and Milledgeville in the Library of Congress or the DAR Library, and even fewer on Philips County Arkansas, where I think the Millers emigrated to ca 1841. I'm use to doing research on PA or VA ancestors, and the resources are so much greater for these states! Makes it hard! Anyway, I copied a page of Milledgeville Newspaper clippings from the Southern Recorder, and will list the names on the page in case it will help others....the year is 1823. In many cases the info is little, but if you recognize anyone I'll be glad to send the rest of the info to you, if you email me. Many of you have not indicated that you have any information that can be of help to others....I can't believe that you don't have a single duplicated page from something pertaining to Baldwin Co! These might have the key to someone else's puzzle! Henry Ely Wiley Pope Alexander McDaniel Darius Cox Archer Worsham Arthur Danelly William J. Danelly Joseph Cook Arthur Ginn Sterling Bass Benjamin Askew Maria Pitts Sarah Miller Ezekiel Miller I also have a page of the 1820 Federal Census for Baldwin co Jones through Moore, that I will check for your names , and the 1810 tax digest Averett through Horn...if interested, email me and I'll check the lists for you....the only information is the HOH, and nothing else is listed. The actual 1810 census was lost when the British burned D C in the War of 1812, but this is a tax digest of 1810 which is the best substitute for the missing census, and includes males between 21 and 69 who did not appear in the census as HOH....males who owned no land but had to pay a Poll tax and thus were recorded in the Tax Digest.
