I have abstracts of 3 Baldwin county wills (1819, 1825,1828) and would like to obtain copies of the wills. I am new to this particular list and researching NEAVES / NEVES in Baldwin Co. Can anyone on the list tell me how to go about obtaining copies of Baldwin Co. wills in this time period?
>From a print source entitled "Marriages and Deaths 1820 to 1830: Abstracted from Extant Georgia Newspapers" by Mary Bondurant Warren with Sarah Fleming, I obtained the following abstract: "NEVES, John. 66 years. died 10-10-1828 at his plantation in Baldwin Co., Ga. Born in King William Co., Virginia. (From Statesman & Patriot- Milledgeville)." What would be the most likely avenue to obtain a copy of this old death notice? I looked on the Mary Vinson Memorial Library web page but saw no listing of old newspapers, only current ones. Teresa Neaves Saltillo, Mississippi

There are several Taylors listed in the Methodist Church Records of Milledgeville, most later that your field of interest (1850-60s). There is, however an early one; Nathias, who is listed in 1812 and 1813. No Stones appear before the 1850s. Just in case you aren't aware of it, the name Worrall or Worrell, is a familiar one to anyone doing research in Chester County, PA...they were there, early on, and Quakers.
