    3.  Dear Wiregrass Georgia Counties RootsWeb Members, Recently it occurred to me that the interest and use of RootsWeb for genealogy research had fallen way off.  While there are no doubt many reasons for that, I believe people's use of FACEBOOK is a big contributor to the decline in the use of RootsWeb. I have also noticed a big increase in Facebooks for genealogy research groups.  I have avoided use of Facebook for any reason for many years, because I wasn't interested in people's trivia (no offence).  However, for the past few months I have discovered a lot of Facebook traffic for genealogical related research.   For me, I find the use of Facebook less restrictive than the RootsWeb rules imposed by tradition and now by that owns RootsWeb. Therefore, for those of us who want to freely discuss Wiregrass Georgia genealogy including genetic (DNA) testing (involving the use of for profit companies that do the testing), with the ability to post pictures, files, etc. and with no particular rules other than being respectful of each other, I have created a Facebook Group for: Wiregrass Georgia Genealogical Research You are invited to join us for a rewarding Genealogical experience.  You can request membership via: Sincerely, Rob NolesRobert B.
