    3. Sherry, You have the children's married names, a thousand thank you's. Are you related? John William's parents were, William Edward and Margaret (Caldwell) Lassiter, they were from Burke Co., GA. They owned the Rosemary Plantation before Sherman's march to the Sea. and managed to hold on to the house and 1,000 acre's until 1903, but had to sell all the other property to pay the huge taxes. ----- Original Message ----- From: [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> To: [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> Sent: Friday, October 06, 2006 7:10 AM Subject: Re: [GABACON] GABACON Digest, Vol 1, Issue 1 I'm looking for any information concerning Delphia Meeks who married John William Lassiter in Coffee Co., GA, 1883. They lived in Taylortown. ~~~~~~~~ I show John W Lassiter died before the 1900 census, and Delphia Ann Meeks b 6-1864 (according to 1900 census) died 10-21-1934 and is buried at Campground. I show 4 children. 1 Delphia Mariah b 11-1882 + Elijah "Lige" Tanner, 2 Lucy b 1887, 3 Oscar b 1891, 4 Rebecca "Becky" b 5-19-1894 + David Benjamin Thomas . Delphia was the d/o Willoughby Meeks b 11-30-1818 + Elizabeth Taylor b 5-1-1821--both buried at Campground. I don't who John W Lassiter's parents were.
