Debbie, I haven't proved it yet but I think there is a connection HOLSOMBACK, HOLSONBACK, HOLSONBAKE and HOLZENDORF, HOLTZENDORF. I have a website on MyFamily.com with over 100 researchers of the HOLSOMBACK surname, of course there are over 90 variations of the spelling of my surname so if you are interested I would like to pursue a search for a possible connection.
