    1. GA and WW1 Draft Registration in 1917-1918...
    2. For those who have folks participating in the three draft registration periods for WW1 you might find your ancestors listed description and addresses as well as occupation on these cards. Also listed on many are the next of kin to notify and if none they list a friend or their employer. There is the listing of their birthday as they knew it and their signature and/or [their mark]. There is the description of the individual and the date they registered. Also many listings showing individuals at the time of registration with fingers misssing. Some with no arm due to injury at saw mills. I have seen some listed with one eye as well as some are deaf in one ear or both. Remember, even though the individual registered for the draft they all were not drafted. These cards are sometimes very remarkable considering many men do leave the scene afterwards due the Flu Epidemic and the war itself. In some cases I have seen fathers, sons, uncles, nephews, all in one county signing up and you get a description of these fellows and their signatures. This is another tool to flesh out the family history. It is worth the look. Besides being online these days you will find the microfilm at some of the libraries as well as the Family History Centers.
