    3. Faye, From # 98, volume 1 HEARD COUNTY 4. Thomas Hilley b. 4/26/1754 d. 3/22/1832 Served in the Virginia Troops and came to Georgia in 1787. He drew land in the 1825 Georgia Land Lottery as a Revolutionary War Soldier and resident of Captain Horton's District in Elbert County. (2) Georgia's Roster of the Revolution, p. 315 (3) Heard County, Georgia: A History of Its People, p. 199 From # 188 CHEROKEE LAND LOTTERY- Oct. 30, 1826 List of Revolutionary Soldiers who drew in the Land Lottery, and who resided in Major Dobbs and Major Allen's Battalion in Elbert Co., Ga. ...Hilley, Thomas, Sr... From # 138 SOUTHERN CHRISTIAN ADVOCATE Died at the residence of his son in Heard Co., Ga. 22nd March last of pleurisy, MR. THOMAS HILLY, SR. He was born in the State of Virginia April 26, 1754 and was a soldier in the Revolutionary War. He removed from Virginia some 45 years ago and settled in Wilkes Co., Ga. (now Elbert Co.) where he resided until January last, when he removed with his son, THOMAS HILLY, to the place where he died. Signed: HARRIS STERNS. Aug. 10, 1838.
