He drew land in the 1825 Georgia Land Lottery as a Revolutionary War Soldier and resident of Captain Horton's District in Elbert County. From # 138 SOUTHERN CHRISTIAN ADVOCATE Died at the residence of his son in Heard Co., Ga. 22nd March last of pleurisy, MR. THOMAS HILLY, SR. He was born in the State of Virginia April 26, 1754 and was a soldier in the Revolutionary War. He removed from Virginia some 45 years ago and settled in Wilkes Co., Ga.
