I am looking for information about a wedding that took place in Evans Chapel, Atlanta, Ga officiated by Clement Evans ( General of the South during the Civil War) between 1870-73 between Alma Stephens, and David C. Kendrick. Sadly I do not have the exact date. I have looked at the Atlanta Newspapers of that time hoping to find a wedding notice..but there are none at all, apparently it was not the custom at that time to put wedding notices or obits in the newspaper. Any suggestions of how to research this event would be greatly appreciated. Betty
