Claudia, I didn't see your original query so I am not sure what county, city, or town you wrote about, but Richmond Co., Ga. has death certificates from 1907 onward. In some case even early than 1907. Other early large communities like Atlanta and Savannah might also so it would be wise to call the county you are interested and check on when they did start recording their death certificates. << Claudia, Sorry, GA didn't start keeping death records until 1919, so your Daniel Cannady wouldn't be in the index.
