With the help of this list and some luck at the local library, I am finally chipping at a stainless steel wall. I am working on my great grandmother Lucy Etta Ayers.b 1880 in Ga Possibly Ayersville . I have discovered that her mother was Emily Brandon b 1840 Ga d 1923 SC She was married to O.P or O.F. Ayers . In the 1850 Dekalb County census I see her listed as daughter of William R Brandon. No mother is listed. She had a sister Eugenia b 1838, Sophronia, b 1845, and a brother William b 1848. Emily and O. Ayers had the following children Jane, Mattie, Hannah,Lucy b 1880 and Emily b 1877 and a son B.F. Ayers. Their may have been other children. These are the ones listed in her obit.
