Hi, I was recently in Edgefield where I found the graves of some of my relatives in Old Horne Creek Baptist Churchyard and Ebenezer Baptist Churchyard in Trenton. Unfortunately the Historical Society in Edgefield was closed. I hope to return in November and hopefully they will be open. The names are Bettis, Tillman, Swearingen,Norris, Bouknight,Wilson,Robertson, Hearin,Lott, and Harrison. The last three names show up in NC, Va. and Ala. The Bettis family, except for John and Mary's son Francis, along with members of the Swearingen and Robertson families sold their land to Francis and migrated to Clarke Co. Ala. in 1817.
