Harold, Washington was created in 1784 and Hancock in 1793. From # 71 Thomson, Solomon 300 acres in St. George Parish Surveyed on May 28, 1770 Plat Book C, page 370 Granted on October 6, 1772 Grant Book I, page 756 300 acres bounded on the northeast by James Bennett and southeast by Thomas Colson. St. George Parish became Burke County in 1777 and adjoins the area you referred to.
