GA (1917) I don't ever remember seeing surnames of Slaughter--could this evolved to Slater? Dilbone --I have never run across this name in my SE Ga research. Taylor: John E. Taylor b. 1818 chatham co. came to Clinch about 1840 the Cow Creek d. 1893. pg 26 Jackson J. Taylor, a farmer and grist mill owner on Cow Creek b. Dec 18, 1847 Clinch w/o John E.;raised south of Stockton; elected county surveyor in 1876 & 1878; m. 1ST May 28, 1882, cordelia DAMPIER M. 2ND 1904 Fannie Grooms. children-not listed. 1886 joined Stockton Methodist church served 8 yrs as stewart; d. after 1917. pg 301-302 BYRD, Cuyler Washington: b. Oct 18, 1859, Pierce Co. mercantile business with son--Leon--in HOmerville. 1912 constable of 1224th dist.; appt. coroner of Clinch Co. to replace WR. Findley who moved from Clinch co. 1914 Cuyler moved to Ware Co. d. after 1917 Now in my Huxfords PWG vol. 10 --there is a extremely long list of Taylors--and Byrds are: Anthony, David, Eliza, Elizabeth, Leonard, Lurancey, William, William Anthony, William Benjamin.
