Elected Jr. 2d Lieutenant in 1861. Discharged, disability, in 1862. (Born in Lancaster County, S.C. June 16, 1824. I'm sending you these next ones because of the similarity to the above. Bailey, H.M. - Private July 13, 1861. Captured at Cold Harbor, Va. June 1, 1864. Died of variola at Elmira, N.Y. Feb. 13, 1865. Grave #2039, Woodlawn National Cemetery. Bailey, William T. - Private July 13, 1861. Roll for Jan. 30, 1865, last on file, shows him absent without leave. Captured and paroled at Hartwell, Ga. May 18, 1865. Pension records show he contracted lung trouble in service. Sent to hospital July 1863. Furloughed home Aug. 1863. Unable to return. (Born in Lancaster County, S.C. Transferred to Co. G, 37th Regt. Ga. Inf. May 6, 1863. Appears without remarks on last roll on file, dated Apr. 1, 1864.
