I have a Mary Polly Townsend b. 1812 GA that was married to a Mr. _____ Hill from S.C., he died before 1860, as Mary is shown to be a widow in the 1860 census of Walker Co., GA with her two son's Jasper b. 1842 and Henry b. 1844 . I am a decsendant throught Mary's daughter Cintha Hill b. 1840 who married Alaban Stowe in 1854. Jasper [first name William] was married to Hattie Ann Shahan, amd Henry married a Mary ( -?- ). . . Does any of this ring any bells, with you or anyone else ? ? Cintha and Jasper's families ended up in Tarrant and Wise counties of Texas . . . Hi Kenny, Theophilus Hill was born in Wilkes County, GA abt. 1785 and married Rebecca Gibson in Warren County, GA 1807. It appears that they stopped off in Alabama on their way to Texas where some of us remain today. Before Theophilus is only speculation. There is absolutely no proof. Thanks for asking. I have a Reubin Hill as son of Theophilus Hill is this incorrect? He was born about 1828 married Sarah Touchton and had these known children: William, Rachel, and Berry. They lived in Lowndes County, but I believe that Reubin may have been born in Screven County. Can anyone tell me the parents of this Reubin Hill if not Theophilus.....
