    1. [GA-Roots] lookups-sent to list or not??

    3. I don't really care one way or another but just wanted to share what happened on another list I am on. Someone had sent a request via the list for the location of a certain place in Georgia. Well it caught my eye cause it was where my hubby's ancestors are from. Well as it turns out the person doing the request is a cousin and I would never had met her had she not sent her name(which was at that time one that I did not have in the tree) and location request to the list. I myself have no problem using my delete button and believe me I do--between my business and genealogy I probably get close to 1500 emails a day. The only thing I would like to see stressed is to put the proper subject in subject line. That really helps when you are deleting a lot of unnecessary mail. So I guess there are pros and cons to this subject. I would say the final say so comes from the listowner??? It is a beautiful evening--reach out and grab a piece of it Helen ----- Original Message ----- From: Meredith MaGuirk <im52ioblu@hotmail.com> To: <GA-ROOTS-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, July 17, 2000 10:23 PM Subject: [GA-Roots] lookups > > hi all! 3. Amen, Helen!!! I wish everyone would just put about a 5 second thought to that subject line, especially folks replying to a message in a digest. It could be WAY more helpful than it is. I never have understood how anyone could think "Digest #xxxx" is a helpful subject. Congratulations on running into a new cousin. Catching that note borders on the miraculous in my book.
