I also am a list owner with egroups.... I INSIST all REQUESTS AND RESPONSES be done IN LIST..thats what emails lists are for. If my listers don't like that they can do one fo two things..delete the unwanted emails OR UNSUBSCRIBE themselves, they have no need to be part of an email list group....it is NOT a ONE on ONE email list. another reason , we have wonderful archive which can be searched by surname, date, place etc......these emails can help others later on I also do a LOT of look ups for people, and it is hard to send sometiems the same info over and over again to individuals.I won't do it. I'll send to a LIST so anyone researching those same surnames can view it. I have like 8 thousand surnames in my personal database, sometimes I just like to read and see if anything may help. If this IS the policy here, then could someone be kind enough to tell me how to unsub? BTW .......Dee, YOU are doing alot of good work here helping all these people , a list owners dream :) I know it is for the love of genealogy , and the love of people. pat
