If you will allow an interloper to interject, I will mention that there is a rural community lying just East of Waycross, Ga. called Slaughterville. This implies that the early settlers there were predominately Slaughters. This is not Clinch County, but is relatively close. The Slaughterville Community lies near the Ware County, Brantley County line. If you are unable to satisfy your needs in Clinch County, you might broaden your search to Ware and Brantley Counties.
