The slave section of the cemetery is toward the back and last time I was there was overgrown with trees, etc. Same for some of the white section toward the left in the cemetery. My sister and I worked hard one hot summer day trying to cut brush and some of the smaller trees. Lost cause for us. The rest of the cemetery is well kepted. The newer part has pepetual care and the carekeepers keep up most of the older section where my family is buried. I thank them with a small check when I can. . My gr gr grandfather, Jordan Johnson was one of the founders and is buried amongst his ancestors and many of his descendants among whom are my father, grandfather and great grandfather.
