    3. Thank you for all the nice comments you sent about the new Mexican War materials. While Lindy and I are busy working to get more on-line, I could really use someone who is interested to help us collect (from this main document) the various specific information about various offices, camps, county regiments, etc. I want to keep the whole document as it is, but I also would like to break out some specific county info so that someone looking for a specific company could get to it easier. Let me know if someone would be willing to do that.....it's all on line, so you'd just need to work with that material....and then also use Google to research the names of the places, camps, etc. There is so little on-line for this Mexican War, but I still believe it had a significant role in Georgia History..... He has abstracted from newspapers information about Georgia's companies, officers, etc from newspapers of the period of the Mexican War..... and so many Georgians fought in that war. It is such a large file that I've broken it into two parts. You'll find numerous names, letters describing the military service, accounts of deaths and wounded. A magnificent collection of information.....I know people are going to discover things that they've never known before. There is so little on-line for the Mexican War, and yet so many of the counties formed after the war are named for these War Heros, so it had a major affect on Georgia. If you find your ancestor and can add additional information, just send it to me.....and I'll include it.
