Just one tiny point of clarification....(and I don't mean to start a discussion on this subject!) Our FREE sites are a part of GAGenWeb or AHGP (and I don't mean to speak for them)...or whatever.. We are all merely hosted on the Server of Rootsweb. You'll notice that AHGP has a similar situation in their URL and is likewise stored on Rootsweb. There has always been much confusion that GAGenWeb (a part of USGenWeb) is actually owned or run by Rootsweb.com which then joined with Ancestry.com. This is not true....GAGenWeb is made up of all Volunteers, who give of their time....nobody is paid!! And we have no direct connection with Ancestry or Rootsweb other than they're being generous enough to provide us with FREE space. And I am very, very grateful to them for it. Ancestry/Rootsweb provide the Message Boards and all these mailing list....and GAGenWeb and AHGP are able to freely make use of them. Volunteers manage both the Message Boards and the Mailing List.... Some of you may have Free pages on Yahoo...and you know that your material is not owned by them either. But the material that all of you share, will always remain FREE! Please help me clarify this concept with anyone you may be conversing with or how are nervous about putting materials on-line in GAGenWeb!!
