Gres said with funds appropriated by the state and the approval of the Board of Regents, the Ladson Genealogy will be moving its more than 30,000 volumes of books from the current site to the former Belk's store on Church St. The new site will undergo renovations both interior and exterior before the move. The Ladson Genealogy Library was formed in the 1970's from a collection of books donated by the late John E. "Jack" Ladson, Jr.
