Eli Clark; Lou Etta wed 1.Styles Smith 2. Charlie Otis; Lucia Polly ; Nannie J. wed Boggs, and Thomas Alonzo Martin registered for the 1917-18 Civilian Draft Registration in Bradford Co. Florida. He was a hard working man. I have a few of the journals he kept that my mama was able to save. Parts of 1914, 1915, 1916, 1917 and all of 1919. He wrote down everything he bought, every letter sent and received, the work he did each day. He worked with lumber, loaded boxcars, built sawmill, built home for his family, worked the land, worked for others, and would not take pay for time off sick with a stroke. He could not lay in a sick bed and get paid for it. My grandfather was a man who took care of his own as long as he could. He was 38 when he died and they had 6 young children. My grandmother was 96. I have a letter in which she was telling mama of a dream she'd just had of her Lon. She said he'd been gone 40 years and he looked the same. She told him she wanted to go with him and he said she couldn't yet. It was many years before she could join him. If anyone can help with the name of the cemetery I would appreciate it.
