I am trying to find information on Mary E. Willis: Listed as: Willis, M. E. in 1820 Census State: Georgia Year: 1820 County: Chatham Roll: M33_8 Township: Savannah Page: 81 1820 tax list MARY E. WILLIS, Chatham Co., p81, Savannah City 1824 Tax list MARY E. WILLIS, Chatham Co., Savannah City 1826 tax digest MARY E. WILLIS, Chatham Co., p45 I think she may be my 3rd great grandmother. If so she had a son Andrew Jackson Willis b. 1815. She would have been born about 1785-90. Family legend says her husband was a soldier who died young and she moved with her children from Ga. to Franklin Co., Ala after 1826 as she appears in the 1830 Census in Alabama. I do not have access to the actual tax list/digest. If anyone can do a look up to see if there is other information I would appreciate it.
