    2. Dee, What dates are these marriages? Are there any during 1845? If so, could you please look up the marriage of JOHN P. HERNDON b.ca1820 to ELIZABETH b.ca1824 (I believe her maiden name to be either STANTON or STUBBS) in Marlboro County, SC ca.1844-46? You are very generous to do these lookups for the ones on this list. I, and I know I am not alone, do thank you for your kindness. Blessings, Laura Herndon

    3. As a "preacher," I know most contemporary clergy (or whoever will do the marrying) must get a license to marry folks. Usually the license is only good for the state in which it's issued, although some states will let you cross state lines for one time only situations (like family etc.) I don't for sure about early 20th century, but my guess is it wasn't too different. 3. Hey Bonedigger. Do you know who Elizabeth Colson's family was? Was she connected with the later Colson family of Tattnall and Screven Counties 1780's-1850's? I am searching for the connection between the Nathaniel Miller/Colson family and the Michael, George or William Henderson family of old St. George's parish, and the Burke, then Tattnall, and finally Screven Co. 's when George Henderson gave a release to the estate of Matthew Colson in favor or Mrs. Nancy Henderson, c. 1815 Carole. gdrexel1@airmail.net ----- Original Message ----- From: bonedigger <bonedigr@concentric.net> To: <GA-ROOTS-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, May 27, 2000 5:20 PM Subject: [GA-Roots] Nathaniel MILLER > Nathaniel MILLER b. 1738 Ireland m.
