Looking for anyone researching the HINTON, CHEEK, or ANSLEY Surnames. There are a couple of HINTON branches in several counties (Heard, Wilkes, to name a few.) Would be interested in ANY Hinton surnames. CHEEK INFORMATION: William CHEEK Born: August 08, 1815 died March 28, 1893 Buried at Cheek Cemetery, west of Franklin, Heard Co., GA. Married? Had at least one child: John C. CHEEK born in GA (no date) died August 20, 1863 and probably buried at Cheek Cemetery. Married Fannie EDWARDS (parents Rubin EDWARDS, Sr and Rebecca HOWELL...have 7 children of this couple: Fannie, Susan E. Married a Jim WINBERRY, Jimmie E., John B. married a Mary B. McFARLAND, Joseph J. married Marth POWELL, Rubin Jr., married Cora Unknown, and Dora who married George HINTON). This George HINTON was son of John Jackson HINTON and Susan Elizabeth RALEY. John CHEEK and Fannie EDWARDS had one daughter: Roxie Anna CHEEK born September 05, 1861 in Heard Co., GA. She married John Thomas HINTON (son of the above John Jackson Hinton). Roxie died June 16, 1939 in LA and is buried in Beech Creek Cemetery, Winnfield, Winn Parish, LA. Note: John died when Roxie was a toddler and Fannie remarried to David CRAWFORD and had: Edd, Joe, Leander, and Leila CRAWFORD Another HINTON: Henry Newsom Hinton born 1829 in GA married Eliza Mary Ansley and had 2 children: Henry Ansley Hinton and Christopher G. Hinton that we have found. Eliza's parents were Albert Ansley and Sarah Newsome. Another of my Hinton cousin's is researching the Ansley line and I would love to provide her with more informatin on their branch. Thanks Lisa Cotten
