june jnevar@mediaone.net roll call i am looking for wades and martins 1 mr. edward wade was born in the year 1611 in london, england and came over into virginia by the year 1640 and settled in york co. va. to raise his family. he appeared to be wealthy with servants, furniture, many acres of land filled with orchards and fields, and livestock. his wifes name was jane, last name unknown at this point, we are still looking for it. our line is his son edward, i will take edward II line down to us. 2 edward wade II was born about 1640 and he married mary hampton. 3 andrew wade was born about 1670 and his wife's name is unknown. 4 robert wade was born about 1700 he married elizabeth _____. 5 edward wade was born about 1750 he married to letitia martin. 6 edward washington wade was born in 1775 (as per the nat. society united states daughters of 1812) on he died in 1862/63. edward married sarah young lamar in 1827. sarah lamar was born on 9-13-1776 in barnwell district, sc. and is buried in baptist church cemetery in aiken sc. she is the daughter of james lamar of prince george co., md. edward washington was a sergeant in carolina militia commanded by capt. john miller; first brigade of south carolina militia, youngblood's regiment. they had the following five children: 7 william drayton wade (our line) 8 mary b wade married dr. a. m. mccaine 9 sarah b wade 10 edmund wade 11 johnson r wade william drayton wade was born about 1800 in barnwell district, sc. and died before 5-30-1853 in montmorenci, sc. he married temperance cushman in 1825. she was born about 1805 in barnwell dist, sc. and died after 1880, tempie is the daughter of james cushman (b abt 1786 d 3-14-1867) and elizabeth woodward (b abt 1785 d after 1860) both of edgefield dist, sc. and they married in 1803. it is thru the cushman line that we have a proven line back to the mayflowers first voyage to the new world, the passengers name was issac allerton. i will include in this document a list of the linage from the mayflower down to us. family members in sc. had joined the mayflower society thru this passenger, we are also able to do so with proof to the society of our immediate families line of birth. *as an extra note i will add some of the cushmans since i have them. james cushman's parents are simeon cushman (born 2-14-1743 and died abt 1825), and judith galphin still living as of 1839. simeon and judy lived in edgefield dist, later known as aiken co., sc. simeon cushman's parents are nathaniel cushman (born 5-18-1712 in plympton ma. and died 10-25-1793) and sarah coomer (born 2-28-1713 in plympton, ma. and died 4-14-1753) elizabeth woodward's parents are charles woodward and kezziah ____. i have the cushmans back to 1577. william and temperance had the following children: 12 john calhoun wade was born on 8-29-1827 and died on 6-19-1913 13 robert lamar wade was born on 1828 and died in feb 1896 14 edward hampton wade was born on 5-10-1832 and died on 10-21-1861 15 laura virginia wade was born on 4-28-1833 and died on 12-23-1889 16 martha elizabeth wade was born on 9-3-1836 and died on 12-21-1901 17 richard johnson wade 18 william drayton wade jr. 19 louisana wade was born in 1845 20 lucy wade 21 josie wade
