    2. Thanks for the great responses to my question. James Lynda and Joyce all gave me wonderful info Also I had asked Ida for a death lookup which she kindly provided. The man died in Bartow county which is a surprise to me. Let me throw out some names to see if any of this rings a bell with anyone. I am looking for info on Henry E Green {c 1879-c 1948} probaly Smyrna Ga area His wife Emily Mary Ayers[ c 1877-c1956] Ayersville Ga? Their son Lavogie Green {1911-1996} died Bartow county. 1. [GA-Roots] Look-ups
    2. Reading the names that people have posted for look-ups can sometimes lead to those searching the same names. I do appreciate it when people correct the subject line. That way we can delete if we are not interested in the subject.

    2. Meredith MaGuirk
    3. hi all! It is awesome that we have such a wonderful fellow researcher like Dee that is willing to share her plethora of resources with us, but it is not necessary for all of us to receive your requests for lookups. Please be thoughtful and send requests to her personal e-mail account, not just clicking on the "reply: icon and sending all of us the note. It is a quite a task to wade through all the messages when especially they're not for our eyes, but for Sue's. Please correct me if I'm the only one that feels this way, if so, I'll keep on wading. 3. Amen, Helen!!! I wish everyone would just put about a 5 second thought to that subject line, especially folks replying to a message in a digest. It could be WAY more helpful than it is. I never have understood how anyone could think "Digest #xxxx" is a helpful subject. Congratulations on running into a new cousin. Catching that note borders on the miraculous in my book. 1. [GA-Roots] anti-virus program updated routinly and active on your desktop at all times ! ! !
    2. Kenny Hedgpeth
    3. If you have your anti-virus program updated routinly and active on your desktop at all times. THAT's YOUR BEST SAFETY NET ! ! Rootsweb will not generally let a known virus go through to the list . And if you do get a warning message of and "Active X " you will know that your virus program did detect something, and you should do a complete virus scan of your complete system immediately. With out delay ! Not opening an email from the list unless you know who the person, is like the person who doesn't ask the dumb questions . . . if you don't ask you don't know, and if you don't open then you will never know ! Why else would we be on this list ? ? But to share info. NOT bugs. Some how that doesn't sound right . . . But I hope some how the meaning comes out . . . I am not bad mouthing anyone here. So don't flame me . . . I know how to use the delete key, and block your mail from my inbox if it happens . . . . The closing message is . . . . KEEP YOUR ANTI-VIRUS PROGRAM UPDATED OFTEN, AND ACTIVE AT ALL TIMES ! *********************************** a dweller on the path by the hedge . . . *********************************** your friend in Christ; Ken Hedgpeth Arcadia, California I am somewhat new to this internet access but have been researching my genealogy off and on since 1970 . . . 2. glswings
    3. I don't really care one way or another but just wanted to share what happened on another list I am on. Someone had sent a request via the list for the location of a certain place in Georgia. Well it caught my eye cause it was where my hubby's ancestors are from. Well as it turns out the person doing the request is a cousin and I would never had met her had she not sent her name(which was at that time one that I did not have in the tree) and location request to the list. I myself have no problem using my delete button and believe me I do--between my business and genealogy I probably get close to 1500 emails a day. The only thing I would like to see stressed is to put the proper subject in subject line. That really helps when you are deleting a lot of unnecessary mail. So I guess there are pros and cons to this subject. I would say the final say so comes from the listowner???
