Have a beautiful old-framed portrait of Edd Waldrop, drawn May 1860 by Bagwell, Cassville, Georgia. Cecy Melinda Waldrop, brother of Edd Waldrop, married Titus Rogers prob in Clark County, Arkansas before 1900 The Waldrop family settled in Arkansas also with the Rogers, who were in Bartow County Georgia before relocating to Ark. . Titus Rogers is my great grandfather; the Waldrops were Welsh and my great grand-mother, Melinda Waldrop's family. Can anyone identify this portrait artist Bagwell? The portrait is painted on glass, with what looks like once was a black velvet matting back of the glass drawing. The frame looks to be gold with a thin gold border around the entire frame. I dont know My g grandmother was Lucy Etta Ayers. According to death cert she was born in Ayersville Ga 1880 to Othello and Emily B Ayers. Othello must have been the wrong name I can not find one anywhere. I have confirmed that the mothers name was Emily B Ayers. In a 1920 soundex Lucy and her mother were living in the same house in Spartanburg SC. Emily says she and her parents were born in Ga Lucy says she and her parents were born in NC. One of them was confused and now it confuses me. Emily last name may have been Brannan Lucy had a sister Emily Mary who married HE Green , a sister Hannah , Martha, and a Emma. She had a brother WAor Bud. This is all the info I have Just enough to drive me nuts. Chris

According to the obit for Daniel A Johnson who died in Appling County 6 June, 1924 he was the son of Isaac Johnson and Nancy Hall. He was born in Montgomery County 2 November 1865 ( according to obit) He was related to and a lineal descendent of Herschel V. Johnson. Can anyone tell me more about this family?
