You had two more children than I did, Nancy, plus more spouses. I have more complete dates on some of them. Descendants of Seaborn COLLINS Generation No. 1 1. SEABORN6 COLLINS (JOSIAH5, JOSEPH4, JOHN3, WILLIAM2, JAMES1) was born 1813 in GA. He married NANCY J. COURSEY Abt. 1834, daughter of WILLIAM COURSEY and SUSANNAH JONES. She was born May 30, 1817 in GA, and died September 29, 1897. Children of SEABORN COLLINS and NANCY COURSEY are: i. SUSANNAH7 COLLINS, b. December 29, 1836, Emanuel County, GA; d. Several people have contacted me about being left off the volunteer list. I did not do this on purpose. For some reason, I did not get some of the original messages and some were delayed until tonight. I will be updating the list with the new information by Friday. Please be patient as I am on call 24 / 7 and never know when I will be called in to work. Plus I am scheduled to work some long hours this week. If you have volunteered, you will be listed. Thanks Doris Robbins http://www.usgennet.org/usa/ga/state/volunteer.html
Olivia, Thank you for your info......Could you please compare what you have with what I am listing and see if they are at least similar? They just seem to disappear from emanuel County so I am not sure if Seaborn COLLINS died between 1860-1870 or if they left the area with last two children that I am showing. I don't show Nancy J COURSEY COLLINS living with any of the children that I was able to locate, although I was not able to find the first two children after they were married. Nancy Seaborn COLLINS b. 1810/1813 in Ga., married Nancy J. COURSEY, daughter of William A (SR) COURSEY and Susannah JONES (?), about 1834 in Tattnall Co., GA. Nancy was born on 30 May 1817 in GA. She died on 29 Sep 1897. They had the following children: 1 F i. Susannah COLLINS was born in 1835 in Emanuel Co., GA.. Susannah married W. A. CARRUTHERS. 2 F ii. Elizabeth COLLINS was born in 1837 in Emanuel Co., GA.. Elizabeth married Jimmerson KENNEDY, son of Stephen KENNEDY and Mary HOLLAND. 3 F iii. Elivina COLLINS was born in 1839 in Emanuel Co., GA.. Elivina married George Washington HODGES. 4 F iv. Zoah COLLINS was born in 1841 in Emanuel Co., GA.. Zoah married Robert EDENFIELD. 5 F v. Eliza A. COLLINS was born in 1843 in Emanuel Co., GA.. Eliza married Soloman MERCER. 6 F vi. Harriett COLLINS was born in 1845 in Emanuel Co., GA.. Harriett married David Robert GRIFFEN. 7 F vii. Rosey (Roxey?) Ann COLLINS was born in 1847 in Emanuel Co., GA.. Rosey married Andrew J. C. MCDILDA. 8 F viii. Christian E. COLLINS was born in 1853 in Emanuel Co., GA.. 9 M ix. James COLLINS was born in 1855 in Emanuel Co., GA..
Do not know if it would be the same people or not, but a quick search turned up one Jemmerson Kennady, age 8, in Sink Hole, Bulloch County, GA. He is listed as son, born 1872; mother is Elizabeth J., age 35 and father is listed as Eli, born GA, age 44. Other children in the household include Henry B. (18), Viola (14, John E. (12), Allis (10), William H. (6), Hiram (5) and Margaret (1). ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, February 18, 2002 10:17 PM Subject: Re: [GA-Roots] COLLINS and HOLLIN(G)SWORTH I don't show Nancy J COURSEY COLLINS living with any of the children > that I was able to locate, although I was not able to find the first two > children after they were married. > 2 F ii. Hello everyone, I could sure use a bit of assistance all you COLLINS and HOLLIN(G)SWORTH researchers. COLLINS, Seaborn born about 1810 m. COURSEY, Nancy born about 1817. They were married about 1834 in Tattnall County (I think). I am trying to find them after that date and am not finding them anywhere. Seaborn COLLINS appears as a witness on William A. COURSEY probate records in 1849. Does anyone have a date of death for Nancy and Seaborn? Or where they were located in 1880? HOLLINGSWORTH, Jacob born about 1821 wife COURSEY, Winaford (Winaphard) born about 1819. They were married in 1843 in Tattnal County. I am looking for same information for them in 1880.....Location and/or dates of death. If anyone could assist me with this, I will be very greatful. Thanks to all, Nancy
Re: the Volunteer List @ http://www.usgennet.org/usa/ga/state/volunteer.html, I have a will abstract book, a deed abstract book, and a book listing burials at Pine Log Methodist Church for Cass/Bartow Co. and would be happy to do look ups. CAROL

Hi, I see that the Hart County link is not highlighted. Is there anyone there that can do a look up for me? If so, I would really appreciate it, thanks, Pat.
Still need volunteers in many of the counties. Also see the state wide page. This person has many books and can do look-ups for many counties. Don't know if there is a fee. Will have more volunteers in a day or two, just received some messages about being left off of list. Will update list when ever get new volunteers. The Volunteer list has been uploaded to http://www.usgennet.org/usa/ga/state/volunteer.html This is a list of people that will do look-ups for others. Many have books that they will search, while other will go to cemeteries to do searches and take photos, while others will go to the Library or Courthouse to do research. There are only three (3) simple rules: 1. Only one (1) request per e-mail. (Husband and wife may be considered as one, IF buried in same cemetery or a Marriage Look-up.) 2. Do NOT send a request for "All the (Surname) listed in the Book!!!" 3. Remember - Many of the volunteers have full time jobs and do the look-ups in their spare time. Be prepared to be put on a waiting list. Be sure to ask about fees in your first e-mail, specially if you are ask for copies of records or photos. Happy Searching!!! Doris Robbins
Doris I volunteered to do Coweta County and I am not listed. Does anyone have the 1900 census that could do a lookup for me? Benjamin Jordan Brooks county, Ga. Susie Hampton Brooks county, GA.I think Susie was born in 1898 - d 1958. I don't know about Benjamin. These are my grandparents. Any info would be appreciated. Thank you in advance. Linda
Would anyone have a suggestion as to how I could locate a place of burial when I don't have a dod.?My 2nd. cousin told me that she had seen the place in Atlanta where my ggg grand parents were buried. She couldn't remember where it was or when they died. Their names are James Marion White and Dorcas Weaver. I know they were alive in the 1840's when my gg grandfather was born. Everytime I ask for any information they always need the exact date of death. I know it probably was between 1844 and 1900. Any help would be appreciated. University of Georgia has a wonderful collection of newspapers. Check there.
Hi All, I have a book about the Pine Log Methodist Church which contains a listing of those buried there until the early 1980s. I will be happy to do look ups in that book. It gives only the names and years, but I do have some info from grave stones that I personally transcribed. CAROL
Got the URL for the new Polk County, GA web site today. Have uploaded the first few pages. Still have a lot of work to do. If you have information you would like to share, please e-mail me privately. Doris Robbins Polk Co, GA - AHGP http://www.usgennet.org/usa/ga/county/polk/
