    3. Just curious, what county is it in? Eileen ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, January 14, 2002 7:26 PM Subject: [GA-CEM] Laws? > Can anyone advise me of Georgia laws concerning abondoned cemeteries? > Can I have my ancestors cemetery recognized and documented? How would I do this? All the gravemarkers are fieldstones. We are willing to do the research to try to prove it is our ancestors burial place. The last burial may have been fifty to a hundred years ago. It is on a farm now owned by someone not related to us. Would it be county or state laws that would apply? 2. Barrow County, Winder,Georgia. In a pasture. It is my Fuller ancestors. Eileen, I got an email from someone yesterday with a URL that gave the Ga. laws concerning cemeteries. I feel much better. After perusing the laws I think i can do something this summer to try to save the cemetery. The present owner cannot destroy it under the law. If you want me to forward that email to you, let me know. It has all the laws and advice. Jo ----- Original Message ----- From: "Eileen B. 3. Jo, I live in Barrow County between Carl and Bethlehem. Where is the pasture? Who owns the land? Have you tried contacting them or anyone associated with the local historical society? Let me know if I can help. Pamela McClure [email protected] wrote: Barrow County, Winder,Georgia. In a pasture. It is my Fuller ancestors.
