Joan, In Georgia, the Professional Licensing Boards Division is under the Secretary of State's office. You might try www.GeorgiaLicensing.org, tel.#478-207-1363, to see if Blanchard's is still licensed. Also, you can check corporations on-line at www.sos.state.ga.us. The Secretary of State's office also monitors cemeteries, although, as we recently found out to our dismay, crematoriums had slipped through the legislative loopholes. I'm a native Atlantan and seem to remember Blanchard's, but don't know what happened to them. My friend's son-in-law owns a casket company in Atlanta.
