William Smith, RS b 16 Mar 1765 in Liberty County, GA d 16 Jul 1841 in Ware County, GA m1 Bineta "Neter" Stephens m2 Mary Townsend Platt William Smith, RS, was buried at Bethany Church; Ware County (in what is now Clinch County); his being among the first graves in the beautiful snow-white sand cemetery there. John Floyd Chapter, D.A.R., Homerville, Clinch County, GA., marked the grave of this patriot December 3, 1950. A large number of descendents were present. Judge W.C.
