    3. From the Georgia State Archives: http://www.sos.state.ga.us/archives/what_do_we_have/vital_records/birth/default.htm Statewide registration of births began in 1919. These records are not available at the Georgia Archives. State law (O.C.G.A. 31-10-25) stipulates that birth records must be 100 years old before being transferred to the Georgia Archives. The first birth records will become available at the state archives in 2019. For birth records from 1919 to the present, researchers may contact the Georgia Department of Human Resources Vital Records Service 2600 Skyland Drive NE Atlanta, GA 30319-3643 Telephone: 404 679-4701 You may also request a birth record from the Vital Records Office in the county where the birth occurred. A list of county offices is available online at: http://www.vitalrec.com/ga.html.
