HI, Working on a local cemetery act that pretty much reflects Ga law. It is currently before council in discussion, Have one council person that is giving us major problems as opposed to the one that is helping us. What I need for the "Helpful" Council person, to have this ready for dicussion. Genealogist Certification. Ok, this Need to define what Qualifys a PROFESSIONAL Genealogist. The other council person is basically saying that, well, most people on this mailing list would not qualify and he used the words "Novice" and Hobby." (Sorry, not my words) Tell me about Certified Genealogists. What are the Qualifications, Education and so forth. And is there actually such a thing as CERTIFIED" Genealogists. This is raised because like the state law, this outlines the use of a genealogist but not the qualification or expertise level. If need should arrise, the other councilman want clarification on what the credentials are. Thanks, any help would be apperciated and helps in crafting this protection acts wording. Steven
