This is probably not of much help, but I have seen the name Thigpen in my cemetery searchs in Laurens Cty. Wish I had surveyed all the headstones now. I do know that there is a family genealogy section in the main library there in Dublin. The people are awfully nice, and if you call them they will almost always look something up for you.
