When they started planning for Lake Hartwell in the early 1950's, they had to move the graves from several cemetaries, including this one. Now somewhere I would think there's a list of graves that were moved. I would think this would be reported especially since Noel Skelton built the first temporary county courthouse for Hart County. There's an Old Casey Cemetery at the rear of Crestlawn. I have a Kendrick relative buried there, and somewhere I believe I have a copy of Garrett's original survey. Can't put my finger on it right now, but will see if I can find it. Someone else on the list may be able to come up with it quicker, and yes, it is in Fulton County. I believe Casey Cemetery is part of Crestlawn Cemetery off Chattahoochee Blvd in the City of Atlanta. One of my Thurman ancestors is buried there.
