Hello Flip, I found on Ancestry.com Johanna Tromper, Precinct 10, Ward 2, Kalamazoo. Kalamazoo County, Michigan, Enumeration District 155, Sheet 7-A, page 200-A, Enumeration date: 7 January 1920. Niece, age 11, born in Holland, parents born in Holland, came to the US in 1916 Tromper, Henry Nephew, age 10, born in Holland, parents born in Holland, came to the US in 1916 I found on Ancestry.com an Albert De Roo, who was an inmate of the Ionia County, Michigan State House of Correction & Reformatory as of the 1920 Census, he was 18 years of age, born in Holland, he apparently came to the United States in 1904 but was not a citizen as of 8 January 1920. He was a reedworker in the reformatory. The Enumeration District was 75, Sheet 2-A, page 118-A, Ionia County, Michigan. Also in 1920, there is an Ellie De Roo, age 44 years, widowed, in First Ward, Zeeland City, Zeeland Township, Ottowa County, Michigan, Enumeration District 154, Sheet 4-B, page 258-B, Enumeration date: 5 & 6 January 1920. She has a daughter Grace, age 12, and Gertrude, age 11 both born in Michigan. Another listing in 1920 was for John De Roo, age 67 years, Holland Township, Ottawa County, Michigan, Enumeration District 137, Sheet 7-A, page 134-A, Enumeration date: 19 January 1920. John has a wife, possibly Gurja, age 74. John came to the United States in 1819, he is a laborer at odd jobs. On the 1930 census of Grand Rapids, Kent County, Michigan there is an Anna De Roo, who is the mother-in-law of Robert Fritzsimmons. Robert's wife Helen was born in Michigan but her parents were born in the Netherlands. Anna is 50 years of age, born in the Netherlands, widowed, working as a servant in a private home, she was naturalized and came to the United States in 1902. Also on Ancestry, I found an Albert DeRoo, spouse Kate R. Essenburg, parents Ben De Roo and Gerdiena W. Overweg. Albert was evidently born 24 Mar 1914 in Blendon, Ottawa County, Michigan and died 7 Mar 1981 in Zeeland, Ottawa County, Michigan. Again on Ancestry, I found a Vern Tjepkema, son of Andrew Tjepkema and Edith De Roo. He was born on 21 Apr 1913 in Holland, Michigan and died on 12 Aug 2000 in Gainsville, Georgia. His wife's name was Vera Bernice Seberry and they had two sons: Paul Andrew & Mark John Tjepkema whom you might be able to contact. According to the record, Edith De Roo's parents were Klaas Benderts De Roo and Ynske Aukes Van Dijk I hope this helps. Burton, This is an area I have some expertise. I've just finished working the designs for the altar paraments at my church's new Sanctuary. We needed high quality designs for a professional to down-load for embroidery. Try Dakota designs and embroidery.com. We used a Celtic Cross in my pastor's communion stole. Both of these websites have celtic crosses. If these don't work, let me know and I can check my other sources. The designs are for downloading to an embroidery machine, but they are quite good on the website, but wouldn't require purchase unless you wanted to download the design to embroider. Let me know if you need any others.
