    3. Thought I'd pass this along to the GA-Cem list. This is an "extensive" resource list if you have ancestors in the Richmond County area of North Carolina which would include the towns of Hamlet and Rockingham (where the race track is). From the website, here is their description of Richmond County in relation to other counties abutting it: "Richmond County is located in the south central section of the State and is bounded by (clockwise starting on the west side) Anson, Stanly, Montgomery, Moore, Hoke, Scotland Counties and the State of South Carolina. In SC, Richmond touches two counties: Marlboro and part of Chesterfield. Before the border between North and South Carolina was settled, a few folks who lived in the old Cheraw District (SC) were technically in what would become modern Richmond County. 3. Many of the rosters that are online tell where someone that died in line of duty or of sickness while on duty were buried. You would need to know what Regiment etc. they were in or see which regs were "allied" out of that area. 1. [GA-CEM] Look Up - Savannah Georgia - City Directory
    2. Brenda Peacock-Cohn - Hello: Received your response to my inquiry and greatly appreciate your very kind offer of look-ups in Savannah, Chatham County, Georgia. Currently, I am interested in look-ups in Savannah City Directories for five locations and for five different years. I am relatively new to genealogical research and am afraid that I made a serious error some time ago by requesting more than one look-up at one time. Consequently, I am only requesting one look-up at this time and that is a look-up in the Savannah City Directory for the year and street address set forth below: Year Street Address in Savannah 1923 9 Nelson Street As relates to the above year and street address, I would greatly appreciate the name and occupation of all residents including boarders and others. Your cooperation and assistance will be appreciated. And, many thanks for your time and efforts. Robert Peterson e-mail address: [email protected]

    3. Several people have contacted me about being left off the volunteer list. I did not do this on purpose. For some reason, I did not get some of the original messages and some were delayed until tonight. I will be updating the list with the new information by Friday. Please be patient as I am on call 24 / 7 and never know when I will be called in to work. Plus I am scheduled to work some long hours this week. If you have volunteered, you will be listed. Thanks Doris Robbins http://www.usgennet.org/usa/ga/state/volunteer.html
