Betty, I was told that the Henderson cemetery is actually the Rylee-Henderson Cemetery. I have some names online on the Banks County AHGP site at http://www.rootsweb.com/~gabanks2/ if you want to check them out. I don't know if this is all of the burials there or not. If anyone has burial information on any of the Banks County cemeteries and would like to share it please email me at [email protected] and I will post the information. Researching: Duke, Evans, Hickey, Mays, Rosamond, Songer, and Camp for me Researching: Brooks, Chambers, Massey, Fountain, and Smith for my hubbie Hi all, In an attempt to verify the spelling of some names sent by another lister, I used my "Columbus Georgia 1828- 1978 book and I found a section in there on "Antebellum Manufacturing" It mentions J.R. Clapp whose factory caused a village to be built later a cemetery. Recently the Clapp Cemetery has come up in some emails and it has sparked some interest in readers. If any of you has information of the Clapp Factory, Village and Cemetery, please share it with the me. thanks, kemis
Paula, did you get an answer on the Henderson Cemetery records? Very interested in Hendersons. Betty Nesmith in Birmingham
I am not sure if it is on the web site. However, it is a rather large cemetery. I know that my family has relatives buried at that location. Please send me the link to the Decatur web site. Regards, Ben

Barbara, I checked the GA Death Index for you, being up and online and all that. I did not find your Mr. Oliver. I searched by Jim* Oliver w/ date of death 03 Jul 1967, by Jam* Oliver w/ same date, by Oliver w/ same date, and by Oliver w/ date of death Jul 1967. None of the listings were for a black male. GA AHGP is growing by leaps and bounds. Two new counties have been place online and one has been moved to a new site. Thanks to Stephanie and Paula for all their hard work getting these counties online. Jones County http://gagen.i-found-it.net/jones.html and Liberty County http://www.rootsweb.com/~galibert have been placed on line this week and GA Unknown County http://www.rootsweb.com/~gaunknow/ has been moved to a new site. You can now list your Bible Records, Obits, Family Reunions as well as your Brick Walls. A new category has been added called "Ghost Towns". More Counties have been adopted and should be online soon. If you would like to adopt one of the GA Counties or already have a web page for a GA County and would like to join our non-profit group, please e-mail me about becoming an AHGP host. Doris GA State Host for AHGP http://www.usgennet.org/usa/ga/state/
The GA AHGP Brick Wall page has been updated. Some Surnames that have been listed since Friday are Baker, Carroll, Davis, Lunch, Miles, Pearce/Pierce, Smith, Spear, Walters. Please stop by and see if you can help these people break through their Brick Walls. Please see the Brick Wall link at the bottom of the GA AHGP web site at http://www.usgennet.org/usa/ga/state/ Have you ever wanted to be a County Host/ Webmaster? Many of the GA AHGP Counties are still available for Adoption. If you would like to adopt one of the counties, please go to "About This Project" at http://www.ahgp.org/about.htm for information on what is required for hosting a county. Then e-mail the State Host with your request. Hi, I have just added two new partial cemetery surveys to the Banks County AHGP web site at http://www.rootsweb.com/~gabanks2/ one for Ausburn Family Cemetery and one for Hickory Flat Church Cemetery. I have also updated and added a reunion to the reunion page, added the McCune surname to the surname page and made some minor changes on some of the other pages. Please stop by and check it out. Thank you, Paula

The things I have heard here, causes me distress, With a church like this who needs the devil. Why in the name of humanity would supposedly Christian people be so self centered ? Hi, All ~ I have just finished a new page for the Magnolia Park Cemetery in Warner Robins, Houston County, GA. It has a few pictures and a survey of the oldest section of the cemetery. There are about 24 entries, including the following surnames. Come by for a visit! BARKER ENGLISH HANDLEY LEVERETT SHAVE WALKER WATSON WHITE http://gagen.i-found-it.net/magnoliapark.html Stephanie
I wonder why on earth, a church would destroy any records that important. Makes no sense to me. I know of a elderly woman who was the one enrolling the names of those buried in the cemetery and the church members who has given the record book to someone but does not remember who she gave them too. Sounds to me like she was beginning to have dementia. Anyway, they are the records that have my GG Grandparents and their following generations including my GG Grandmother Alsobrook. My GG Grandfather Alsobrook is the one who gave the land to the church for that cemetery and a church house in Chambers Co., AL. Was this Miss Birdie a Lindsey? Thanks for all the work you have done on this site. I know it is an awesome responsibility. Nellie
