My g-ggrandfather was a James Kehoe. He was married to Mary Kehoe. They were from County Wexford, townland unknown. James and Mary had 3 children Edward my g-grandfather and a brother John and posssibly a sister Catherine. Edward was born around 1845. He came to Baltimore and joined the USA Navy and served during the Civil War. After the war he married Margaret Stafford from Enniscorthy. They had the following children: James, birn in Liverpool;Edward, Catherine, John, and Mary all born in Baltimore. I thought your note was intersteing with the relationship between the Furlongs and the Kehoes. In Ireland these names seem to be like Smith and Jones in the US especially in County Wexford. I have not been able to learn anything about Margaret Stafford and I can't find any other older Kehoes or Furlongs that may be related to Mary and James. One other thing James died around 1852 and Mary married an John Flynn. Any information you think may help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! Slan!
