I've got a Newfoundland Connors-Furlong connection as well. My Connors were largely in Placentia Bay and early on. I have a Catherine Connors(1840)parents Thomas and Ann Casey. I have an Ellen Connors possibly first cousin to Catherine married to a John Croucher they emigrated to East Boston had 4 kids..one a Sue(Croucher) who apparently married a Furlong. My Connors were all fisherman in Placentia, have no idea what happened to Catherine...could she have been your John's wife..first son was named Thomas...so was her father. ???
